We were out and about a few days before Christmas delivering our very own ‘Bags of Goodness’ from our Christmas appeal. These were care and support packages made up from generous donations from local businesses and residents and they were delivered straight to those who need them and also to frontline heroes.
From stationery and books, warm clothes and blankets to foods and luxuries recipients of our packages were supported with the items they may need plus some extra items to brighten their day!
It’s been a difficult year for many, and we have supported those that may benefit from a little boost whether they are suffering from illness, loneliness or must choose between food and presents!
Supporting those who help us in times of emergency and showing our gratitude is a lovely gesture to those who go above and beyond when we really need them! Especially those who volunteer their time!
Nathan said “It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to show appreciation to those we take for granted day in day out. Services and volunteers will always be there when somebody cries for help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week even on Christmas Day so that’s why I’ve delivered them some sweet treats along with some supplies to keep them going when working long hours!”
When one person goes hungry, our whole society is weaker. More people than ever are facing extreme poverty. It’s time to work together to build a hunger free future. - The Trussell Trust
Being equipped and ready to learn is the key to success! We support those who may not be able to afford the necessary essentials for school or at home learning!

We were very pleased to be working in partnership with Polegate Sundowners WI to launch our brand-new venture which brought more joy to others this Christmas for the first year of many!
We have now launched our brand-new community initiative to support the wider community! We did this in December 2020 because as you know 2020 was a struggle for many!
We delivered 20 Christmas Gift Bags to those who may benefit from a few extra gifts. These bags included gifts and treats for all the family as we do hope we brightened their festive season.
We also delivered another 20 of these as a ‘Thank You’ to those who made a difference in our communities. For example, thanking fundraisers who have enabled charities to remain stable and thanking volunteers for their hard work and efforts to assist others in these unprecedented times.
Nominations were sent in from the people of Polegate and many local individuals, groups and businesses supported us by donating food items, gifts and money in which we used to brighten Christmas for many local people.
Through online shopping, local residents and local businesses supported our first ever 'Bags of Goodness' Appeal enabling us to collect deliveries and collate all the donated items which were then placed in seperate 'Bags of Goodness' packages!
