Nathan was a very keen fundraiser and volunteered for many different charities, whether they were small local charities or national leading ones. In recent years, Nathan had generated over £15,000 for good causes and continued to give his time and support to those who needed it.
Nathan founded the Polegate Scarecrows Community Fund on the 8th of November 2019, after running two successful Scarecrow Festivals in his hometown of Polegate.
Nathan's Scarecrow Festival in 2018 was noticed by the Eastbourne Lions Club, and they invited Nathan to enter their Young Ambassador of the 21st Century competition, which he went on to win, securing £50 sponsorship for the next Scarecrow Festival.
Since the Polegate Scarecrow Festival in 2018, the area covered by the now annual event had increased dramatically into Hampden Park, Willingdon, and Ratton. The Polegate Community Foundation went on to run many different events throughout the year, all in aid of supporting local communities.
Nathan was always thinking of new income generation methods while giving his supporters the chance not only to donate to good causes but also to support themselves at the same time.
As Head of the Events Team, he was responsible for all income generation efforts along with the organisation’s means of service delivery. He was also responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation, while promoting its cause and working with his volunteers.
Nathan now takes a back seat so correspondence needs to be sent to - events@polegatecommunityfoundation.org.uk
